As a first-generation Pakistani-American, he is passionate about immigrant and human rights, specifically within the legal realm. He aspires to pursue a career in international human rights law while working with marginalized and oppressed populations from around the world. On campus, Hasan serves as Chief Justice on the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts' Student Judiciary body, Vice President of Research of Students for Democracy, and Executive Coordinator of Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law Fraternity.
