Description: Nooran Alhamdan is a rising 2L at UC Law SF (formerly known as UC Hastings). She completed her Masters degree in Arab Studies at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and completed her Bachelors degree in Analytical Economics and Political Science at the University of New Hampshire. In 2019 she was awarded the Harry S. Truman scholarship in recognition of her dedication to public service, particularly for her advocacy on behalf of Palestinian refugees. From 2020-2021 she was a graduate research fellow at the Middle East Institute's Program on Palestine and Palestinian-Israeli Affairs, where she authored several research pieces on Palestinian refugees. From 2021-2022 she was a graduate research fellow at the Middle East Institute's Cyber Program where she focused her research on digital expression in the Arab world. She continues to utilize academia to author pieces and commentary on Palestinian liberation, refugee rights, and digital freedom of expression.
