Description: Evan Carter is a documentary and promotional film director living in Brooklyn, NY. His passion for film began at Davidson College while working on a documentary about the struggle to secure housing for chronically homeless individuals in Charlotte, NC. After graduating, Evan lived in Haiti and filmed several short documentaries about the rural communities and sustainable agriculture for the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee and Mouvman Peyizan Papay. For three years, Evan worked at the Smithsonian Channel as an assistant editor helping to cut documentary series. He now runs his own production company where he films independent documentaries, short films, music videos, and works with a variety of nonprofits and small businesses to create compelling films that tell their story.
