Description: Originally from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Ibrahim Bey now lives in New York City and attends the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at New York University’s, Tisch School of the Arts. In his time at Tisch, Ibrahim has produced two student films and this year, will be shooting his first short film. In addition, Ibrahim is also a leader within NYU’s International Cinema club, which was created not only as a way for students to enjoy great films, but also as a means of promotion diversity within filmmaking. An aspiring, writer and director, Ibrahim views filmmaking, just as with most art forms, as a means to explore ourselves both as individuals, and as members of a greater society.
