Description: Mariam Azhar graduated from Berkeley Law in 2019, where she served as editor for the Journal of Middle Eastern & Islamic Law and the Journal of Criminal Law. She interned at the ACLU National Security Project and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and worked as a summer associate at Covington & Burling LLP. Mariam received a B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley in 2013 and, prior to law school, spent three years working at the ACLU Immigrants' Rights Project. Mariam is currently a judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
