Description: Tahreem Alam is currently the Legislative Correspondent in the office of Rep. Ilhan Omar. Tahreem received an M.A. in Middle East Studies from George Washington University. In 2022, ISF placed Tahreem in the office of Rep. Ilhan Omar as a Congressional Policy Intern. She was later accepted as ISF's 2022 Congressional Policy Fellow. Immediately after completing her fellowship, Rep. Ilhan Omar's office offered Tahreem a full-time position as its Legislative Correspondent. She is also a 2021 alumna of Virginia Tech and majored in multimedia journalism, international relations, and Arabic, with minors in women’s and gender studies and Middle East studies. Her interdisciplinary education and experience fueled Tahreem’s desire to work in public policy at the national level.
