Description: Kayo Beshir was born in Bale, Oromia, and lived in Kenya and Uganda before moving to the United States. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in International Relations. During his collegiate career, he had the opportunity to study International Affairs at George Mason University and Spanish Politics in Barcelona, Spain. Kayo is continuing his education at American University and pursuing a Master's In International Peace and Conflict Resolution. Kayo loves traveling ( 28 countries already) and learning languages. Post-undergrad, Kayo worked as Melkus Fellow at the Tennessee Justice Center, helping Tennesseans navigate the complex health care system, and with the Tennessee Immigrants & Refugee Rights Coalition as a Multi-Cultural Organizer.
