Description: Farhana Arif received her Bachelor’s from the University of Michigan with dual concentrations in Brain, Behavior & Cognitive Science and Arabic & Islamic Studies.After graduation, Farhana worked primarily in the fields of youth/education and community development. She served as an AmeriCorps member, engaged in interdisciplinary research on Head Start, and worked as a community organizing fellow on the south side of Chicago.Farhana is currently a dual-degree graduate student pursuing her Master’s in Public Policy and Business Administration. She is currently completing an internship at the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment & Opportunity, where she has worked on issues such as Universal Pre-K and increasing access to public benefits for eligible families.Upon graduation, Farhana hopes to utilize her educational training to work at the intersection of the public and private sectors, promoting the welfare of vulnerable populations.
