Description: Ayah Ibrahim is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at George Mason University. She received a B.A. in Government and Middle East Studies from the College of William and Mary, and an M.A. in International Relations from George Mason University. She has worked with the Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy and spoken at several academic conferences and at the Woodrow Wilson Center. While a doctoral student, she has served as a graduate teaching assistant for a range of courses at different levels. She has also worked as a graduate research assistant to a top scholar on Political Islam and with George Mason University’s state lobbyists. Ayah is the recipient of George Mason’s Dean’s Challenge Fellowship recognizing exceptional graduate students who have excelled while making academically-challenging choices.
