Description: Iman is a third-year law student at UCLA School of Law where she is pursuing specializations in Public Interest Law & Policy and Business Law, and where she serves as the co-Editor-in-Chief of the UCLA Journal of Islamic & Near Eastern Law. During law school, she gained experience in public interest law and transactional law by working for two non-profits and a venture capital firm. She manages the Refugee Students Scholarship Program, which she established as an undergraduate, to provide scholarships to students displaced by conflict attending UC and CSU campuses. She is active in the refugee higher education access space, including as a Steering Committee member for the University Alliance of Refugees and At-Risk Migrants’ Student Voices for Refugees Network. Iman graduated from the UC, Irvine in 2018 with degrees in political science and Middle East studies. She intends to balance her passion to serve refugee communities and her interest in transactional law by providing legal assistance to refugees.
