Description: Mohsin Mirza is a 2L at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. He was born and raised in the Bay Area.At Berkeley Law, Mohsin is the Chair of the Coalition for Diversity and is helping to lead initiatives to improve campus climate, faculty diversity, and academic skill building. He is helping asylum applicants at the California Asylum Representation Clinic. He is also an Associate Editor for California Law Review, a Submissions Editor at the Asian American Law Journal, and a member of the Berkeley Law Muslim Law Students Association.He earned his B.A. in Sociology and Black Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara where he completed a senior thesis that examined the role that Islam plays in American prisons. While at UCSB, Mohsin served as the Undergraduate Chair of the UC Student Association. He hopes to ultimately use his education in the law as a tool to advance civil rights and immigrant-rights.
