Description: Isir Said is a 2020 and 2021 ISF Law Scholar currently pursuing a Juris Doctorate at Yale Law School. Isir received her bachelor’s degree in Political and Social Thought, with a minor in History from the University of Virginia. Her academic and research interests range from human rights to globalization, from world literature to politics, and from Arabic to ethics. Isir’s honors and awards include two Critical Language Scholarships—one in Amman, Jordan; the other in Tangier, Morocco—and an IPE Ethics Internship Grant. In addition to interning at the United Nations Permanent Mission of Somalia and the University of Virginia’s Institute of the Humanities and Global Cultures, Isir also worked as an SEO Law Fellow for White & Case LLP.
