Description: Salimah Khoja is a law student at the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law, and a Business Immigration paralegal at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, and Loewy, LLP. Salimah is interested in addressing anti-Muslim bias in the U.S. immigration system and aims to advocate against racial and religious profiling as well as law enforcement surveillance. She is interested in the constitutional, immigration, national security and counterterrorism, and deportation defense areas of the law. Salimah hopes to continue working towards U.S. immigration policy reform. She is a 2022 recipient of Sorensen Center for International Peace and Justice Fellowship as well as CUNY Law’s Public Interest Project Grant. Salimah earned a B.A. degree in Political Science and Media Studies from CUNY Queens College. Salimah also minored in Journalism and served as Managing Editor of the school’s student-run newspaper where she focused on immigration issues.
