Description: Karim Farishta is a Master’s in Public Policy student at the Harvard Kennedy School, hailing from Sugar Land, TX. He currently serves as National Political Coordinator for Governor Steve Bullock’s presidential campaign. Karim was Campaign Manager for Sri Preston Kulkarni’s bid for US Congress and executed the first-ever 15-language minority voter outreach program. In 2017, he was a Fulbright research grantee in Sri Lanka, where he launched the We Build Colombo Together urban collaborative. He convened a participatory platform for government, corporate, and community leaders to collectively address issues related to housing affordability, public safety, and job retraining. Karim served as Program Manager in the Obama White House and worked closely on the presidential transition and the President’s Leadership Workshop. Karim is a Truman Scholar and graduated summa cum laude in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
