Description: Zaynah is a graduate student at the University of Southern California pursuing her Master of Arts in Visual Anthropology/Documentary Production. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and Media & Cultural Studies from the University of California, Riverside. Her work aims to uplift the diverse stories of Pakistani-Muslim communities through film, media, digital storytelling, and visual culture. She is interested in exploring themes such as immigrant and third culture identities, memory, belonging, and diasporic traditions and the ways in which material culture such as archives can be used to document personal and community histories. Earlier this year, Zaynah was selected to participate in NPR's Next Generation Radio, a multimedia, audio-focused digital journalism project that equips the next generation of media producers with skills in audio-storytelling, podcasting, and visual journalism. She is excited to be part of the ISF team!
