She works as a digital editor and writer for WTOP News & Radio in Washington, D.C. In 2014, she interned at Gannett and USA Today in McLean, Va and continued as a contributing writer for USA Today. In 2012, Omama was recognized by the American News Women’s Club as an aspiring female journalist.
